Dominique Hamel

A childhood in northern Québec, where the harshness of the conditions required attention and respect, influenced my perception of nature. Today, my awareness is tuned into the ways forms and colours are created by changing natural conditions. Thirty years as an architect shaped my way of looking, but painting has provided me a new way to see.
